 When you attend a basketball game, I think it's okay to kick your style up a notch!! If I could talk to Angela Simmons, Lala Vasquez and Kim Kardashian, I think that they would definitely would agree with me.

Angela Simmons went all of the way club style for the bball game. She was wearing a short, leather jacket. A shiny shimmy dress, black opaque tights, looks like a Chanel Bowler bag and Loubies! She's about ready for a dinner/club date at the end of the fourth quarter.

IPS Student Robert Hawthorne Will Attend Harvard!!

I saw this story on FOX 59 News this morning and was absolutely ecstatic.

Crispus Attucks High School Medical Magnet 2011 Valedictorian Robert Hawthorne was awarded with a full scholarship to Harvard. He will be studying biomedical engineering when he arrives.

During the short segment on FOX 59 in Indianapolis this morning with his parents, the Hawthorne's told the audience that Robert is very humble but he worked very hard to achieve his reward.

Let's all congratulate the efforts and achievements of this young man!

What Is The Difference Between These Two Shoes?

Good day loves!

Notable Styles and More is committed to bringing you the steals and deals and giving you more ways to shop for luxury and celebrity style within an average persons budget.

Contributor Leona Benjamin (Personal Stylist of Nordstrom Las Vegas), hit me up with this one, and once I reviewed it, I said, what a find. She's good people. If you are out in Vegas, you must shop with her.

But now, fashionistas, I would like for you to put on your shopping skills. What do you think the difference is between the two shoes pictured above?

There are some differences, but those differences are very minor. Both of the shoes are 3" heel height, 1/2" platforms, of leather structure and very cute!!

The first shoe is DV Dolce Vita (genuine leather) from Nordstrom priced at $88.95.

The second shoe is Mossimo (faux leather, which also makes it animal friendly) from Target priced at $29.99.

So, the major difference is price!!!! And that is a good difference, for shoes that are almost of identical quality.

Midwest Fashion Week Kicked Off This Am!!

Good day Notable readers. I hope all is well. I am presenting a post that is very important for all fashionistas in the Midwest and abroad to know about. Midwest Fashion Week kicks off today in Indianapolis and will take place during the dates March 12th through March 19th. While the week offers a variety of events ranging from a children's fashion show to a sports-themed event at Lucas Oil, all participants I am sure will be pleased with the schedule line-up. This morning at 9am marked the beginning of Shop Midwest. Shop Midwest™ is to support retail and boutique venues while consumers experience an amazing shopping event and MFW promotional savings. For more information please visit this link.

The runway show will feature fashions by designers Catou, M. Michele Designs by Michael Michele, Antonio Fermin, Bryan K. Osburn, Arlinda, Brittany Humble, and Eliza Parker. Tickets to the event are $125 and the proceeds benefit Down Syndrome Indiana.

A Quick Casual and Chic Outfit Straight From Your Own Closet!!

Alright ladies, it is almost light jacket weather. And if you have experience transitioning from Winter to Spring, you may be layering now, preparing for the days when the weather does reach above 55 degrees and you may feel liberated to remove one layer, to remain comfortable.

This post though is really not about layering at all. Although the look that we are going to create is best suited for light jacket weather. I would like to showcase how you can purchase a low priced tee and pair it with items that you already have in your wardrobe to create a fresh new way of wearing the items you own.

But there are a few things you may want to start out with in order to make this happen. Of course, I will give you substitutes, if you don't actually own the items pictured.

1. A Louis Vuitton Damier Bag (option) a different kind of chocolate brown purse

2. Any pair of jeans that are bootcut or fitted near the ankle (option) any pair of jeans that you love the fit of :)

3. A clog, platform or high sandal shoe in olive green *a neutral color* (option) tan, brown or a beige shoe will do and is a lot safer to suit less risky fashionistas

Now all that you have to do is, put these items on together with the new t-shirt found at JCPenney for $11.99 and voila!! A new twist to your old items!

What Not To Wear!

Ladies, I have recently noticed a trend in short shorts (and I mean REAL short shorts) in many denim washes that are available for the upcoming spring/summer season.

And this is an early forewarning, just because an item is made in your size, does not and I repeat does NOT mean that you should wear it.

I can only see a short this short looking presentable on someone with small to medium leg, hip and thigh proportions.

In short (no pun intended), please be careful when shopping for clothing. What looks good to the eye may not necessarily look good on the body.

Don't worry though, there are many other short styles that may look good on your body. Knickers in denim and other textile blends are back this year, as well as shorts that are just a bit longer than the ones pictured above.

A Little Leopard For The Fellas!

Hello gentlemen! I think that you all may like this animal print post. First let me tell you that this product represents two things that I know you love!

One being tennis shoes. This is a Nike tennis shoe with a basic style and a major flair.

The second thing this product incorporates into the mix is the feline (meow) cat. You all love cats, riiiiight?

Notable Styles and More Best Buy: Neutral Colored Pumps!!

I believe that I have found a great Notable Styles and More Best Buy for natural and taupe colored pump shoes. Target.com is the graceful retailer and the taupe colored pumps are priced at $29.99. While the natural colored pumps are priced at $24.99. What a BARGAIN right!?!

Since the pump is kind of simple and basic, lacking a trendy platform near the toe pair either of these shoes with a wide leg jean that hits the top of the shoe, just perfectly. Also, try to pair these with something that has a little more flair like a sparkly top and knickers or even a colorful form fitting bandage dress.

The point of wearing neutral shoes is to pair them with something of great color.
