Starbucks Newest Drink Size Will Kill Your Appetite?

I hope that I am not the only one who noticed a nice size, flavorful Starbuck's drink, fills you up for at least 2-3 hours and of course gets your adrenalin pumping. So why is Starbuck's introducing a new size drink (for iced beverages only) called the Trenta? Do we need more at a time?

The Trenta is 916ml/31 oz. of cold drink and will be in all Starbuck's stores across the nation by May the 3rd. Research has proven that an adult stomach regularly holds around 900 ml of fluid or anything else for that matter at a time. Giving me the impression that drinking a trenta in between meals or in place of one may be a way to watch your food intake? *The previous statement is not medically approved or proven.*

View the chart below to compare everyday beverage servings and how the Trenta fits in.

What do you think about the new larger Starbuck's serving? Is it like a Super-Size fry? More empty calories for the sake of a caffeinated or non-caffeinated impulse?
